Norm Laudermilch joined Maxar Intelligence as the Chief Information Security Officer in April 2024. Over a 30-year career, he’s been at the forefront of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, including in classified cyber and space environments.
Norm helped build the cybersecurity-as-a-service industry at Riptech, which was acquired by Symantec. He led the design of first-of-a-kind managed security products used by more than 5,000 enterprises today. Norm joined Sophos following its acquisition of Invincea, where he was Chief Operating Officer. There, his team built an AI-based malware detection platform that is still protecting the data of 100M+ users today.
Previously, Norm was CISO of the cloud computing division at Verizon, where he spearheaded the company’s early enterprise cloud innovations. He was also a pioneer in the mobile security space, co-founding mobile security provider Trust Digital and leading technology development before the company’s sale to McAfee. He began his career at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), where he held a variety of cybersecurity roles over nearly a decade.
