Jared Reece is a program lead for the Space Systems Command within the Space Force Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO). The CSCO is responsible for all Department of Defense (DOD) acquisitions of COSMATCOM telecommunication services, and provides technical and acquisition related expertise to DOD mission partners in need of COMSATCOM services or equipment.

Mr. Reece is responsible for maintaining compliance with current and upcoming DOD policies for space systems, as well as the development and deployment of new cybersecurity programs. Mr. Reece is also the lead for CSCO’s recently announced IA-Pre Program, an enhanced cybersecurity program for COMSATCOM industry providers. In addition to handling coordination between DOD stakeholders, he aids in strengthening the cybersecurity posture of commercial satellite services through industry and government collaboration.

Mr. Reece has been supporting information assurance programs for CSCO since 2016, overseeing the transition from DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) to Risk Management Framework (RMF), and supporting the transition from DISA to US Space Force for cybersecurity assessments. He received bachelor of science in homeland security, with study on emerging technologies, cyber threats, infrastructure protection, and private-sector partnerships.
